Young people from disadvantaged families and marginalised groups often need additional support (such as job coaching or mentoring) to develop vocational skills and to have opportunities in the labour market.
We work to ensure that young people, who are often at risk of economic exploitation, receive a living wage and use their talents and qualifications to further develop their careers.
We advise them on how to stay in employment and build savings and property.
CONCORDIA Social Business
In the last ten years, CONCORDIA has developed several social businesses in Romania and Bulgaria. We intend to generate income (the business aspect), but more important (the social aspect) to provide young people who are about to leave care with a protected and encouraging environment where they can learn and practice a profession. At the same they learn and practice the whole range of soft skills an employment require and in one to two years can confidently move on the regular labour market.
