CONCORDIA press trip to Kosovo
Together with journalists from different Austrian media we visited our latest project in Prizren/Kosovo in November 2021. It was the first Concordia press trip to Kosovo.
The challenges of the young state are great. Next to the Republic of Moldova, Kosovo is the poorest country in Europe. In line with our motto "We go where the need is greatest", we have been working for those children, young people and families in Kosovo who are at the very edge since the beginning of 2021.
In Kosovo, too, the key to escaping the poverty spiral is education. We visited the Concordia education centre Tranzit in Prizren with the journalists, arranged for journalists to meet families, and asked local and national officials responsible for gender equality policy, poverty reduction, respect for children's rights and Kosovo's social system to talk to them.
